The biggest mistake that Manziel made during the offseason after his freshman year was responding to his haters. It may have felt good at the time, but it played right in to the hands of those haters and added fuel to their fire.
Now Winston has done so as well. In response to Dee Dee Bonner and everyone else that questioned his is intelligence after the BCS National Championship game (speech was awesome by the way) he posted this video:
I get it. All the comments made by Bonner, Katherine Webb, and every other hater out there were absolutely ridiculous and made out of jealousy. They wanted their team to be where he was and since it wasn't they lashed out the first chance they had in crude and childish fashion.
He has every right to be angry about it too, but such is life of a person in the public eye. Fans will praise your every move and haters will condemn it--and there are no boundaries for how far they will go.
The only way to beat him them is to ignore them. He knows the truth as do his fans and family. That's all that matters.
But by responding to them months later? Not only does it stoop to their level, but it gives the haters more fuel since they know it got to him.
