You have to love our legal system, right?

In case you don't remember, on May 26 last year MJD was enjoying 'Reggae Sundays' at the Conch House in St. Augustine, FL. An altercation occurred when security had to tell one of his friends to leave a woman alone. The bouncer--Kasim Howard--started to take someone out of the bar via a hear hug when he was hit by Jones-Drew.
Criminal charges were never filed.
He wasn't just hit--he was hit pretty freaking hard. According to Howard he was treated at the hospital for "injuries suffered during the attack, including contusions, loss of consciousness, a concussion and a herniated disc of the spine."
So for some reason Howard has decided that he needed to sue now for punitive and compensatory damages for "pain and suffering, loss of capacity of for enjoyment of life, expense of hospitalization, medical expenses (past and future), inability to perform his work as a professional boxer, mental and emotional pain, humiliation, inconvenience, lost wages, legal expenses and other general and specific damages."
Hmmm....call me crazy, but this stinks of someone fishing for an out-of-court settlement. Without definitive proof that MJD actually hit him this guy is going to get laughed out of court.
And if that evidence existed criminal charges would have been filed.

Apparently you didn't see the video of him being hit. I'm sure there are lots of witnesses too. Mojo deserves to be sued. He broke the law. Obviously you're a bias idiot. This coming from a Jags fan.
ReplyDeleteThe video was crap and you are just another online jackass that gets off to being a complete jerkoff. Apparently your mother didn't raise you right you stupid tool--and the Jags suck.
