Rangers Carlos Pena Knocks Home Run in to Tray of Brisket in Return From Triple-A [GIF]
Veteran or not, whenever a player spends time in the minors he wants to make a splash when he gets called up to the Show. So when Carlos Pena was called back up by the Texas Rangers to play in Wednesday night's game against the Detroit Tigers he knew he wanted to do something special.
Little did anyone know that his 'something special' would have a little extra flavor to it.
Yes, that is his home run ball in a tray of brisket. No, someone didn't throw it there. It actually landed there! If only it could have been in a winning effort. The Rangers lost to the Tigers 8-6.
