Spurs Prove Fundamentals and Team More Important Than a ‘Big Three’

With a 104-87 win in Game Five Sunday night the San Antonio Spurs earned the right to be called NBA Champions—and proved something very important.

Big Three. That’s all you hear about these days. When the Miami Heat formed theirs--LeBron James, Chris Bosh, and Dwyane Wade—the expectations were astronomical. Regardless of how you feel about them it is hard to deny what they have done. 

Four straight NBA Finals appearances and two wins is nothing to shake a stick at.

So it is no wonder that many teams are looking to form their own version of a Big Three. However, after watching the San Antonio Spurs dismantle the Heat and their Big Three maybe that is not the way to go....
