Well--it appears that the petition to try and get Thursday dubbed a national holiday so we could all watch the U.S. Men's National Soccer Team take on Germany failed. So instead of fulfilling our patriotic desires we had to be capitalist and go work instead--but that's okay because that's what DVRs are for, right?
But what if you don't have one? Or what if you already heard we lost and don't feel like watching the whole game?

No sweat. I got you covered. As you can see from the GIF above and below the fans and players were definitely ready for the game. Talk about the most intense National Anthem ever!

Stupid refs.

Conditions were pretty bad before the game and there was talk that it might not be played--but as we can see they did play in spite of the sloppy field.

Tim Howard made a great save on one end of the net, but he just couldn't get back up and over to the other side in time.

Jermaine Jones seemed to have a thing with running in to people.

Dude, you're winning. Chill out.

Maybe this is why the German coach was so upset. He saw the win almost slip away late in the game.

It is why JK is upset.

The loss sucked, but the USMNT is still moving on to the next round thanks to Portugal's win over Ghana (if you want a recap of the game
go here).
Next up--Belgium.
They might have the devil on their side, but we have something better--Hulkamania.
