Derek Jeter Tricks Indians Jason Kipnis in to a Double Play [GIF]

Derek Jeter has not been playing the best baseball at time during his farewell tour, but the old dog proved Monday night against the Cleveland Indians that he still has a few tricks up his sleeve.

Jason Kipnis took off running when he heard Asdrubal Cabrera make contact at the plate. Since he ran with his head down he did not know that the ball was a simple pop up that Yankees third baseman easily caught. What he did see was what looked like Derek Jeter catching the ball to make a play at second.

Except Jeter didn't catch anything. He was just playing.

Thinking he was out Kipnis tried to slide in to second in hopes of breaking up a double play. Instead he made sure that the Yankees would have no trouble throwing him out at first and completing the double play.

Well done Mr. Jeter. Well done indeed.
