Jacksonville Jaguars WR Justin Blackmon Arrested for Marijuana Possession

The Jacksonville Jaguars were already not expecting to see wide receiver Justin Blackmon this season. After being suspended for the first four games of the 2013 season he was hit with another suspension towards the end of the year in November. There was a chance he could still play during the '14 season, but the team doesn't expect him to.

After getting arrested on marijuana possession charges Wednesday night it's probably safe to say he could miss time next season as well.

Blackmon was pulled over Wednesday night for a traffic violation in Edmond, Oklahoma. When police began to speak with him they could smell marijuana coming from his car. After searching his car marijuana was found and he was taken in to custody.

There has been no word on how much marijuana was found.

Whenever the time comes NFL commissioner Roger Goodell is going to have a hard time figuring out what to do with him. Blackmon has had one DUI during his short NFL career (drafted in '12) and another in college. He's already on an indefinite suspension from the league for his second positive drug test.

That suspension came down in November. He had just missed the month of September for his first drug suspension. Now here he is getting busted again.

At this point Blackmon's career is in jeopardy. Teams are not going to want to sign a player that can't quite using drugs long enough to actually play a few games.

If an NFL career and millions of dollars is not enough of an incentive to get clean than what is? At this point though the concern has to be more for him. Hopefully now he'll get the help he needs.
