New York Yankees Ground Crew Struggles to Cover Field Causing Wednesday's Game to be Called and Possibly Thursday's as Well

The New York Yankees do not exactly strike fear in to the hearts of opponents anymore, but at just 3.5 games back of he Baltimore Orioles they are still in the hunt for the division. So when the grounds crew completely screwed up covering the field Wednesday night when it started to rain they were okay with it.

Since the game had gone five innings and they had a 2-1 lead they would get the win if the umpires decided to call it.

Since the infield was turned in to a mud pit screaming to be played in the game was called and the Yankees given the wind. The only problem is as bad as the infield became the field may not be ready for Thursday's game either!
