Ohio State Defensive End Arrested After Bar Fight; Suspended Indefinitely [UPDATE]

The Fourth of July weekend is one that many if not all Americans look forward to. Thanks to those that have fought for and protected our independence we have an extra day off of work to eat, drink, and be merry while we enjoy some fun in the sun and fireworks. Of course in the process some of us are going to enjoy ourselves too much and do something stupid.

Like Ohio State defensive lineman Troy Sprinkles.

The big man started out the day with a pretty simple goal; one many people could relate to:

If only he had stuck to doing only that. It appears that sometime during the night he got in to an altercation at a bar and was arrested. Head coach Urban Meyer wasted little time in suspending him indefinitely.

What that means for him going forward remains to be seen. He had a stellar career in high school, but the redshirted freshman has yet to show what he can do at the college level.

[UPDATE]

From TheOzone:
A new report from the Elyria Chronicle-Telegram states that "information provided by police incorrectly stated that he [Sprinkle] was found with heroin."

Per the latest report from Chronicle-Telegram, Sprinkle was arrested and charged with possession of drugs, drug paraphernalia, and rioting/failure to disperse....

The report went on to say that the drug charges are likely going to be dropped and that the earlier report of his suspension is premature.
