San Franciso Giants Pitcher Madison Bumgarner Wants in on the Home Run Derby

San Francisco Giants pitcher Madison Bumgarner is a heck of a pitcher. That's why he was voted to the All-Star game for the second consecutive year--but he wants more. He doesn't want to be just another of the many pictures on the National League roster. He wants to do more.

He wants to be the first pitcher to participate in the Home Run Derby.

San Jose Mercury News’ Alex Pavlovic shared this little nugget with the world recently:
Since it is all about fun to a small degree you have to think why not? Maybe that is how the league can change it up another year to add a little twist to it; make it a position contest or something. Besides--he's not a small guy. At 6'5" and 235 pounds there is a chance he could knock a few soft pitches out of the park.

Heck, he's hit four during his career.

Rosters are set now and he was left off so maybe next year Madison.
