For a player to stay up in the Big Leagues he needs to pretty much do at least one of two things really well--hit or play defense. So far this season Jackie Bradley Jr. is hitting only .217; no surprise since his career batting average is .212.
With that in mind he really needs to get the job done on the field with his defense.
