BYU's Taysom Hill the Next Great Dual Threat Quarterback to Watch? [GIF]

The buzz in college football these days seems to focus on dual threat quarterbacks a lot. These guys are exciting to watch and he bring a lot of attention to their programs, and from the look of things in Friday night's season opener against UConn the BYU Cougars may have a pretty good one on their hands.

His name--Taysom Hill.

Against the Huskies Hill completed 28 of 36 passes for 308 yards and three touchdowns along with another 97 yards and two touchdowns on the ground. Behind a performance like that the Cougars couldn't lose--and didn't (35-10).

The question going forward will be whether this is going to be the norm. Last season he ran for over 1300 yards and threw for close to 3000, but his completion percentage was all over the place. Against Virginia in the season opener he completed just 32.5 percent of his passes, but against Nevada in the regular season finale he completed 77.8 percent (all be it for just 98 yards).

Should games like Friday night's against UConn become the norm the Cougars are going to be a force to be reckoned with. Heck, it would not be shocking to see Hill's name come up in talks for a certain award as well.

For that to happen though he better not do anything the school frowns (which is pretty much the stuff every other college kid in the country loves) upon and get suspended.

Isn't dancing a no-no for them?
