Right now the team is hopeful that he will just miss the final preseason game--the one he was going to miss anyway--and that will be it. Ribs are not easy to deal with though. In order to make sure a hairline fracture does not become something more serious it would not be shocking to see them hold him out of Week One.
It would be better to risk losing one game with a back-up QB rather than the last six or seven after the injury grows and becomes too much to play with.
So--anyone know how Derek Anderson has been doing lately? Or is Joe Webb the back-up?
