Chicago Bears Long Snapper Patrick Mannelly Gets Note From Peyton Manning Congratulating Him on Retirement

In case you were not aware--Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning is a pretty nice guy. How do we know this? Yeah, he does all kinds of charity work and stuff, but so do a lot of guys. No, what sets him apart are a lot of the little things that he does that makes people feel appreciated.

Stuff like send a note to a guy drafted in the same class as him--but never played with--to congratulate him on his retirement after 16 years in the NFL.

In June Chicago Bears long snapper Patrick Mannelly announced his retirement from the NFL after 16 long years in the game. Mannelly likely got notes and well-wishes from all sorts of people he's played with over the years, but he got one from someone he never played with.

Whether it was sent recently or in June is not important. Manning took the time out to recognize someone for their accomplishment in the game. No one would have expected him to, but he did it anyway.

Like Mannelly said--class act.
