Houston Cougars New Stadium Not Getting the Welcome Fans Hoped For (so far) [VIDEO]

The Houston Cougars are one of a handful of teams debuting a new stadium this season. Like every other team in existence the hope would be to come out guns blazing for the first game in the new digs and dominate whoever was foolish enough to oppose them.

So far, during Friday night's game against the UTSA Roadrunners that hasn't happened. Instead the team has put on an impressive comedy of errors.

I'm not watching the game, so I can't speak for the effort the Cougars have had outside of the collection of plays above. That being said the stat sheet is a little disturbing. Yahoo shows the team has used four ball carriers, run the ball 18 times, and gained a whopping -9 yards.

That's right. They've lost nine yards in the running game.

The good thing is the team is actually playing better so maybe after they get their heads on straight during halftime they can give their new stadium the kind of debut it deserves.
