The Indianapolis Colts definitely picked the right man to succeed Peyton Manning when they took Andrew Luck. Over the course of his first two seasons he has proven to be a leader on and capable of putting the team on his back when need be. He has been the leading rusher in games and shown the kind of never say die attitude that coaches and fans love to see.
But can he hit? If the opportunity arose could he lay someone out (without bruising his throwing shoulder of course)?
I can't recall seeing him do it as a Colt, but he did lay the wood down on someone back during his college days--and it was glorious!
Well done Andrew. Well done indeed.
Check some early rookie season tape. I don't recall which team they were playing, but he threw an interception and ran up and stuck the defensive player.
ReplyDeleteHe won me as a fan right there on that play. He probably would be a star both ways back in the single platoon days of football.
