Philadelphia Eagles Will Not Be Able to Wear Traditional Green Jerseys Till Later in the Season

If you watched the Philadelphia Eagles and New England Patriots play Friday night you may have noticed that the Eagles looked a little different. Instead of their usual midnight green jerseys the team was wearing black trimmed with green. Was it Chip Kelly trying to bring the alternate uniform trend from Oregon to the NFL?

Nope.

@ESPNNFL

It's what the team is going to be wearing going forward.

This is kind of interesting. Why would a team's jerseys not be available to start the season? Did an intern screw up the order? Did the manufacturer screw up?  Was there an accident of some kind that jacked up the original jerseys?

The midnight green that the team uses is a custom color so that explains while it may take some more time to get the job done, but this is the NFL. They can't put a rush on the order and get them ready for the start of the season?

Are they being stitched by hand or something?
