Texas A&M Fans Hold Midnight Yell Practice on Steps of South Carolina Capitol--South Carolina Fans Were Not Amused!

It's time for some college football! Finally! A whole bunch of games are being played Thursday night giving fans plenty to watch, but the marque match-up will be in South Carolina between the Gamecocks and the visiting Texas A&M Aggies.

Officials are hoping this game can turn in to a rivalry. What went on around midnight Wednesday night/Thursday morning will certainly help make that happen.

It's called Midnight Yell Practice; a tradition for Texas A&M fans. Since they are on the road this week they needed someone place to hold it. Someone thought the steps of the South Carolina state capitol seemed like a good place so they went with it.

As you can imagine, South Carolina fans were not to happy about the notion. From what I can gather on Twitter many turned out for the event to make sure the Aggies knew how displeased they were.

That last guy might want to think about how he phrases things. Anyway....the hostility can't be shocking (hopefully no one got violent; hadn't heard anything yet), but it certainly did not dampen the spirits of the Aggies in attendance:

Don't you just love college football?
