Twitter Gives New York Giants QB Eli Manning No Respect

Poor Eli. The man has led his team to two Super Bowl wins--both against a more talented New England Patriots team. His brother? Just one Super Bowl win. Yet in spite of his career success he is still one of the guys that football fans like to kick the most.

Sunday night after a less than desirable performance in the Hall of Fame game it was easy to see why.

For the night he was 6-7 for 43 yards; an admirable completion percentage of course, but it would have been better to see him get the ball downfield. Since it's just preseason the stats are something that can be overlooked.

However, after leading the league in turnovers last season (27 interceptions and 3 lost fumbles) when he fans saw him fumble one away early in the first quarter Sunday night the fans let him have it:

Football is back folks. Hell yeah.

  1. The amount of stupidity and hatred is strange. Makes you root for Eli even if you're not a Giants fan
