WATCH: Maurice Jones-Drew Turns on the Speed for First Oakland Raiders Touchdown

After the first two preseason games the Raiders might have been wondering if picking up former Jacksonville Jaguars running back Maurice Jones-Drew was worth the roster spot. Ole Mighty Mouse had looked anything but mighty--so far. Sometimes you just have to be patient.

Friday night that patience finally paid off as Mighty Mouse took the ball 40-yards to pay dirt.

On his other two carries he only got five yards, so when compared to his body of work as a Raider this run looks more like an isolated incident.

Hopefully--for the sake of Raiders fans and fantasy owners everywhere--it is not.
