The tale is a familiar one to kids all around the world. The emperor is so wrapped up in his fancy clothes that he spends all his money on new ones and all his time admiring them. He paid no attention to his army, his palace, or anything else for that matter—unless it gave him a chance to admire and show off his clothes.
For a couple of decades it’s a tale that fans of the Dallas Cowboys have been living except the 'emperor's' obsession has not been his clothes. It’s his football team.
