Antone Smith's touchdown run was a prime example of how bad the Bucs defense was--pursuit angles were horrible, no one was fighting off of blocks, players were running to where he was and not where he was going to be--ugh. The list could go on and on.
It darn near looked like they didn't want to stop him.
When the game finally ended the Falcons had scored the franchise's second highest total, and would have easily beaten the team's previous high had Matt Ryan and some other starters not been pulled midway through the third quarter.
This season we'll have to cut Lovie a little slack. He has to work with what he has, and he doesn't have too many studs in the group.
But if it doesn't get better by next season...
