When Andre Roberts signed with the Washington Redskins during the off-season he probably had his sights set on being the No. 2 wide receiver behind Pierre Garcon (and No. 1 when Garcon was injured). Then the 'Skins signed Desean Jackson which bumped Pierre Garcon to the No. 2 leaving Roberts as 'the other guy.'
So get their money's worth out of him (or maybe he volunteered; I don't know) the team had him returning punts Thursday night, but after this fair catch they will probably never have him do so again.

There is no one within 15-20 yards of him, the closest guys are being blocked, and he's calling for a fair catch. This is the point in college where we would have asked him if he's scared just to go ahead and say he's scared.
But I'm going to give him the benefit of the doubt and assume he was trying to tell Gruden he doesn't want to return punts aver again.
