WATCH: Notre Dame's Everett Golson Screws Up Spiking the Ball; Nearly Cost Team Seven Points

So far this season Notre Dame quarterback Everett Golson has been a man reborn. Whatever he did during his time off with quarterback guru George Whitfield must have worked. Every aspect of his game has been better, and it has shown in the bottom line for the Fighting Irish--an undefeated season and top 10 ranking.

However, Saturday against Syracuse he showed that he is still fallible with a less than stellar first half highlighted by this failed attempt to spike the ball late in the second quarter.

One of the Syracuse players picked the ball up and returned it for a touchdown. The refs called it an incomplete pass, but than that call was overturned. Syracuse was given possession of the ball killing what should have been easy points for Notre Dame.

As ugly as some of the bad points were overall his night was pretty good. Yes, the two interceptions and fumbles sucked. The four touchdowns, 383 total yards of offense, and 82 percent completion rate are nothing to shake a stick at.
