Penn State had a lot of trouble controlling the line of scrimmage Saturday against Northwestern, but it wasn't due to a lack of trying. No, the problem--at least on this play--was the effort was wasted on the wrong person. For some odd reason Brian Gaia (72) got locked on to Andrew Nelson (59).
In the process their poor running back was eatten alive by a Northwestern defensive lineman.

As far as technique goes it was a solid blokc Brian so take some solace in that, but you have to pay attention to the color of jersey they are wearing man.
