Arizona Cardinals RB Stepfan Taylor Records First Career Rushing and Receiving Touchdowns in Win Over Raiders [GIF]

One thing guys have to learn when they go from the college ranks to the NFL is that you have to be patient. Yeah, you might have been a beast in college, but that doesn't mean crap in the NFL. Everyone in the National Football League was a beast in college. So you can do one of two things: (1) turn in to a whiny little baby when you don't get your touches or (2) get to work, pay your dues, and make the most of what opportunities you get.

Sunday against the Oakland Raiders it looks like Arizona Cardinals running back Stepfan Taylor chose option No. 2.

During his rookie season he did not get on the field much recording just 44 combined touches (36 rushes, 8 receptions) for 186 yards. Leading up to the Raiders game he had only five carries for 23 yards and four receptions for 21 yards.

So he pretty much has not factored in to the game plan much, but Sunday that changed. He ended up carrying the ball 10 times for 40 yards and had two catches for 19. Most of all he finally got what every running back craves most--his first rushing touchdown (see above) and his first receiving touchdown (see below).

Was this a taste of things to come? Or just an isolated incident? We'll find out next week when the Cardinals face the Eagles at home.
