Cal and Washington Prove They Have No Idea What Defense is in 119-Point Game

When the first half of the Washington-Cal game ended with the score 24-13 in favor of Washington no one really batted an eye. That kind of score is not unusual to have at the half. However, the final score is another matter altogether.

In fact, that sucker was flat out ridiculous--a lot like what passed for defense in the game.

A relatively normal game turned ridiculous in the second half--or to be more precise the third quarter when the two teams combined for 56 points.

What is almost as surprising as the score is the fact that three Washington drives in the quarter took just over eight minutes on the clock. It becomes more understandable thanks to two kick returns by Cal return man Trevor Davis go the distance for touchdowns.

When all was said and done the two combined to go 86-124 for 1261 yards and 11 touchdowns through the air. They added another 140 yards and three touchdowns on the ground.

Defense? What defense?
