It appears that there is a chance the Eagles may have to do without him for an undetermined period of time.

Sproles went down with a knee injury against the Giants Sunday night. He was able to make it off the field under his own power, but this information was shared with fans during the game:
Tafoya reports that Eagles tested the stability of Sproles' left MCL, ACL, and that the news left Sproles "pretty unhappy."

The team is likely going to be getting further tests done over the next couple of days. Hopefully the results will be happier news.
[UPDATE, 12:57 PM 10/13]
It's not great news, but it could certainly be a lot worse:
What I'm hearing on Darren Sproles: Not out for the year, but probably out a few weeks. There was fear it was an ACL tear, but it's not.

Darren Sproles has a slight tear of the MCL in his left knee, I'm told. He is expected to be out for at least two weeks (one game).

Look at it this way Eagles fans--it's not season ending and you'll get him back in time to make a good, strong playoff push.
