Jason Hatcher Would Have Done Bad Things to Redskins Kicker Kai Forbath Had He Missed Against Tennessee

One one hand the kicker has the best job in the NFL. He rarely--if ever--gets hit. He only plays a handful of plays a game, and if he's any good could make $1 million a season (13 kickers currently make a base of $1 million or more). However, on the other hand kickers are the one position teams do not hesitate to cut mid-season if they fail to perform.

They may also have to deal with some very large men that want to do bad things to them if they miss a game-winning kick.

Redskins kicker Kai Forbath came through for his team making all four field goals including the game winner from 22-yards out, but rather than just congratulate him on a job well done defensive linemen Jason Hatcher shared what he would have done if Forbath had missed.

When asked what he was thinking while watching Forbath line up for the game-winning kick Hatcher said (via Washington Post):

“You better make it or I’m gonna kill you,” Hatcher recalled. “Because that’s all you’ve got to do is kick the ball.”

Ouch. When asked what he thought after the kick was good he said:

“He okay,” Hatcher said. “He allowed back in the locker room.”

After hearing about this it is probably safe to say Mike Nugent and Robbie Gould are glad to have only been yelled at by a defensive back and a wide receiver.
