After defeating Alabama Saturday the Ole Miss fans did exactly what you would think they would do. They stored the field and ripped down the goal post. What you might not have expected them to do is take those suckers out of the stadium and start carrying them around town. The act of tearing them down is bad enough (destruction of property), but now we are talking theft.
Shouldn't the police be concerned about that?

Apparently not, but even if they were they would have a hard time doing something about it. When mob mentality rules if no real harm is being done it's better to leave well enough alone. Chances are the only other thing getting wrecked that night is going to be the fan base in the local bars and frat houses.
