San Francisco Giants OF Gregor Blanco Makes World Series History With Lead-Off Home Run [VIDEO]

After tearing up Kansas City in Game One the Giants would like nothing more than to rip the Royals again in their house before heading back to the City by the Bay. It certainly looked promising for the G-Men when Gregor Blanco hit a lead-off home run to give the Giants an early 1-0 lead.

As it turns out it wasn't just any old home run though.

Yeah, it was only worth one run, but it was a record setting home run nonetheless.

Blanco's leadoff HR was 19th in #WorldSeries history. 1st since Pedroia (2007 Game 1) & 1st on road since Damon (2004 Game 4).

Not a bad way to start the game, but it appears that everything went downhill from there. Kansas City has a 7-2 lead in the bottom of the 8th.
