Horrible Officiating Too Much For Texas A&M to Overcome in the End Against LSU

To be fair LSU did play better than Texas A&M for the majority of the game. The LSU defense was as good as advertised and did a great job of frustrating the A&M offense for much of the game. Tack on the yards LSU's running game kept eating up and it is no wonder the Aggies were down for much of the game.

But the offense woke up in the fourth quarter and gave the team a chance at an epic comeback. Now if only the refs didn't stop them.

On third down the LSU defensive line is caught offsides by Kyle Allen. Thinking he has a free play he decides to take a chance and launch one deep. It wasn't the greatest of throws and was intercepted, but in the end it shouldn't have mattered. LSU was offsides.

Except the refs didn't call it. No one on the field or in the booth could believe it, but somehow the refs missed the call.

Because of it the comeback attempt was cut short and A&M lost. After the game Allen tweeted his thoughts on the officiating:

Had they lost after playing it out then fine. Losing because of the officials is pretty much the worst way to go. The only thing that could possibly make it worse is if the officials admit to making a bad call after they review the tape.

Talk about twisting the knife a little.
