Well--as luck (bad of course) would have it there was a pretty good reason why.

The man was playing with a torn pectoral muscle during the game. Depending on who you want to listen to it happened either last week during the Cleveland game or this week during pregame warm-ups. Either way if that is indeed the case it will mean the end of his season.
What will be interesting to see going forward is what head coach Bill O'Brien will do. Will he go with the veteran in Ryan Fitzpatrick and hope he doesn't lose the game for Houston or will he go ahead and give rookie Tom Savage a shot?
The deciding factor will probably be running back Arian Foster. If the team is going to have any hope at keeping its dwindling playoff hopes alive it must have its running game back. Without it Fitzpatrick does not stand a chance.
So the team might as well see what it has in the fourth round draft pick out of Pitt.
