Texas A&M Fires Defensive Coordinator Mark Snyder

It appears that the Texas A&M fan base is getting an early Christmas present. After another dreadful defensive performance Thursday night Aggies head coach Kevin Sumlin all but said that change would be coming, and it appears that it is already here.

Defensive coordinator Mark Snyder has been relieved of his duties.

As soon as the announcement was made it spread like wildfire on the internet

Once again the team has had one of the worst defensive units in the country so the move comes as no surprise. The question now will be who should the team get to fill the spot. Will the university allow Kevin Sumlin to go after a highly respected, experienced guy (like a Will Muschamp)? Or will he end up hiring a young, up-and-coming (and unproven) guy?

As well as the offense has clicked in recent years if the right person can get the defense performing the Aggies could become a true contender so it will be interesting to see how the team proceeds from here.
