Was There Pass Interference on the Final Play of the LSU-Alabama Game? [GIF]

The final play of the LSU-Alabama game never should have been an LSU pass. Throwing the ball is definitely not a strength of LSU QB Anthony Jennings. The 8-22 stat line from the game should have told Les Miles he should have tried a couple runs during the overtime period. But he didn't. Instead the game came down to 4th and 10 after three incomplete passes and found Jennings tossing the ball in to the end zone to a receiver that was covered.

However, was there a little too much shoving going on there? Should there have been a pass interference call on Alabama?

LSU fans likely think so and they are right. Pass interference could have been called on this play--on LSU. Prior to the ball being thrown it looks like both guys are doing a little shoving, but Malachi Dupre appears to give a little shove right before the ball gets there.

A little one; the kind you could probably call on just about every play if you really wanted to.

So--good non-call refs.
