Has Case Keenum Earned a Place at the Table in Houston?

Case Keenum did an admirable job filling in at quarterback the final two weeks of the season, but will it do him and his career any good?

The idea of having a local college hero play quarterback sounded nice, but didn’t work out the first time around for Case Keenum and the Houston Texans. However, after injuries forced the team to give him another shot things worked out pretty well.

So now comes the tough part. Do they keep him and give him another shot to make the team and possibly even start? Or does he fall by the wayside yet again?

For some fans the idea of Keenum possibly becoming the main man again is unthinkable. He had an eight game tryout during the 2013 season that did not go well. Yes, the last two weeks did go well, but was his performance enough to wipe out any lingering memories of the 2013 season?

That’s what Bill O’Brien is going to have to figure out....
