Every play counts for Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Jaron Brown. Every play counts for every player of course, but for an undrafted second-year player each play is a chance to prove the team needs him. So when Brown's number was called and the ball came his way there was no way he was not going to make that catch.
He did of course even though he was upended by Rams defensive back E.J. Gaines and landed on his head.

The catch ended up being called back because of a penalty so officially Brown did not make a catch during the game. When the Cardinals coaches review the film they are still going to love two things about this play: (1) he held on to the ball even though he was whacked and (2) he ran the route far enough down field to get the first.
So while it was not a catch he still gave the coaches something they like.
Well done Mr. Brown.
