College Football Playoff Committee Chairman Admits Maybe TCU Should Have Been in Top Four

Many thought the College Football Playoff Committee was nuts when they excluded TCU and Baylor from the top four. Many thought that at least one of those teams deserved to be in the top four if not both of them. At the same time the inclusion of Florida State was considered questionable along with Ohio State.

After the way TCU and Florida State played in their respective bowl games Committee Chairman Jeff Long found himself being asked by several fans if a mistake had been made.

He answered and pretty much made sure every Horned Frog fan in existence will be cursing his name for eternity (or until next season):

Long never should have answered the question. He should have stuck by what the committee did. At the most maybe saying that they made the best decision they could with the information they had would have been alright.

Admitting in a round about way that they made the wrong call is just going to get people questioning this process and calling for yet another change.

Enough of the changes people. Let's just play football.
