WATCH: Mississippi State Runs the Perfect Hail Mary Pass Against Georgia Tech

Some folks may wonder what makes a perfect Hail Mary pass other than a throw that makes it to the end zone and a player on the offense actually catching it. Well--if all you do is trust that one of your guys will bring it down when the whole mess of guys in the end zone jumps up for it you are taking a huge gamble. More often than not the ball is going to bounce off of someone's hands and hit the ground.

But if you have someone standing off to the side of the pack looking for the deflection good things can happen!
