Someone that coached the game and reports on it now should know that, but it appears that Herm Edwards does not.

Edwards started playing back in '77 when it was still legal to use stickum. After it became illegal in '81 he still stuck some on the inside of his cleats which he would use during obvious passing downs.
“It’s definitely a different league now,” Edwards told Jeffrey Chadiha at the time. “People are concerned about the image more than ever. But I also know there’ll always be some gamesmanship going on. That’s just how this business works.”Gamesmanship or cheating? Let's be clear what we are talking about hear Herm. You cheated and you should be ashamed. Admitting does not make it right or absolve you of guilt. It just tells us that we should look at you as a player in a different light. Heck--maybe as a coach too.
If you cheated as a player what's to say you didn't encourage it as a coach?
