For some reason he thinks that the Chiefs are going to pay him $4.8 million to serve as the back-up to Alex Smith.

Daniel has told the local media in Kansas City that he thinks the team will bring him back and he is excited to get started once again.
Yeah, that is great to hear and exactly what he should say, but lets be real. While he did play well in his one start for an injured Smith last season he has played very little during his five years in the NFL totaling just 460 yards and one touchdown along the way.
Is he worth the $4.8 million he is due?
The kind of money he is set to make is an awful lot for a player that has done so little. The team drafted Georgia standout Aaron Murray last year and also have former Tennessee quarterback Tyler Bray on the roster. Between the two the team could come up with a much more affordable and still serviceable back-up.
Don't worry Chase. Someone will pick you up. Just for a lot less money.
