Seattle Seahawks WR Doug Baldwin Admits Super Bowl 'Poop' Celebration Aimed at Darrelle Revis

Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Doug Baldwin made some noise when he caught a wide open touchdown and celebrated it by acting like he was pooping out or on the football. With all the focus being put on Marshawn Lynch's crotch grab celebration he had to know the league would likely frown on this idea as well.

But he did it anyway and it cost the team 15-yards and him over $11K.

The penalty was not the deciding factor in the game. It was just a stupid move by a good player in the biggest game of the year. During a recent radio appearance Monday night he finally decided to make a public apology to the team and the fans:
"I do regret the fact that it cost my team 15 yards, and to the fans, ultimately I apologize to anybody I offended in any way," Baldwin said Monday night on "The Barbershop" on 710 ESPN Seattle. "It wasn't about that. I just think it was a competitive situation. So to all the 12s, all the fans, that's not what it's about. So I apologize to anyone if I offended you.
"In that moment, it was just a reaction," he added later in the show. "So obviously if I could go back, I would take it back."
Okay. All that makes sense although I would give an apology a little more weight if it was given a little closer to the time the offending action took place. At this point it seems like too little too late; like it is more for him than it is the fans and his teammates.

However, I don't get what he was trying to say.

After the game he said the gesture was between him and the person it was directed at who we now know is Patriots defensive back Darrelle Revis.

According to Baldwin he did a lot of prep before hand studying the individual match-up between him and Revis. and that he had a lot of built up frustration. So with that in mind when he scored he vented his frustration by pooping out the ball.
