Usain Bolt to Retire After 2017 World Championships in London

When you are the best at what you do it is hard to step away from the game. It's great to be on top and since no one appears poised to beat you why leave? Simple--because you don't want to slowly deteriorate in the public eye until someone does beat you. Every athlete dreams of going out on top.

It appears that the world's fastest man is set to do just that.

Usain Bolt had talked about retiring after the Olympics in Rio in 2016, but recently stated that he has decided to bump it back to the World Championships in London the year after the Olympics instead after talking with his sponsor.

He could very well change his mind again in the days to come and not retire at all, but as long as he has been the champ it would be nice to see him go out on top.
