Folks in Texas do not see much snow. As a kid I can remember it snowing maybe twice. It was just enough to cover the ground, but since it is something folks are not prepared to deal with school was cancelled and we got to spend the morning playing in brown snow rather than sit through lessons in class. It was brown because there really was only a half inch of snow on the ground at most so when you made a snowball you got some dirt as well.
