WATCH: Texas Forward Jonathan Holmes Ejected for Throwing Elbow at West Virginia's Devin Williams
This is a perfect example of why it is always a bad idea to retaliate. West Virginia's Devin Williams gives Texas' Jonathan Holmes a good shove and nearly knocks him over so what does Holmes do? He throws a well-deserved elbow in retaliation, but who gets caught and ejected from the game? Holmes.
Is it right? Absolutley. He broke a rule that warrants an ejection, but it wouldn't have happened if the ref standing right behind Williams and Holmes had called Williams for his shove.
