San Antonio Spurs Superstar Tim Duncan Fails to Make a Basket for First Time in His Career

Tim Duncan has done a lot of things during his lengthy career. He has played in over 1300 games. He has shot the ball almost 20,000 times and made over half of his shots. He has won the NBA Finals five times, been named Finals MVP three times, and league MVP twice. Sunday against the Chicago Bulls in career game No. 1310 he experienced something for the very first time.

He failed to make a single basket from the floor.

Duncan went 0-8 from the floor failing to make a shot for the first time in his historic career. LeBron has already had one (back in his second season). Shaquille O'Neal had two and Kobe Bryant has had 23 (most in his rookie season).

So it is something that happens even to the best of them. Although it never did happen to Michael Jordan. He made at least one basket in every game he ever played in.

The Big Fundamental did score three points from the free throw line along with eight rebounds and three assists. San Antonio went on to win the game in spite of Duncan's off day, 116-105.
