Seattle Seahawks Punter Jon Ryan Has Perfect Response to Folks That Want to Get Rid of PAT

Extra points are not very exciting, but they have decided games over the years. I can recall as a kid watching Dwight Clark make "the Catch" and hoping and praying that whoever the 49ers kicker was would miss the PAT so the Cowboys could still be in it. They didn't of course because most of the time the extra point is not missed.

This has led many to calling the play boring, pointless, and in need of being altered or done away with. Seattle Seahawks punter Jon Ryan has the perfect response to those people.

If we get rid of one 'boring' play do we need to get rid of them all? Because there are plenty of plays along with the PAT that are dull as hell:

PAT's are boring you say, well so is the 3rd and 20 draw plays I see every Sunday, and taking a knee before the half. Lets get rid of those.

Let's go ahead and add the spike to that list too. Yes, it is done for a good reason (to stop the clock), but if the clock still stopped for first downs there wouldn't be a need for it.
