WATCH: Central Michigan Player Nearly Hit By Falling Hoop

Athletes are injured in all sorts of ways during games, but usually while playing the game. That was nearly not the case for Central Michigan's John Simons during Saturday's game against Northern Illinois. After Northern Illinois big man Pete Rakocevic dunked the ball Simons briefly stood under the hoop in order to put the ball back in play.

As he did so the hoop collapsed and nearly hit him in the head as it came down!
