West Virginia Headed to Sweet 16 for First Time Since 2010

The Mountaineers didn't always look like a team that was going to make a run in the Tournament during the season, but they appear to have gotten their act together at the right time. They had a tough one against Maryland Sunday, and after one half the game appeared like it was going to be a close, hard-fought contest with WVU holding a one point lead, 35-34.

Maryland was not able to catch a break in the second half, and around the midway point the Mountaineers began to pull slowly pull away en route to a 69-59 win. West Virginia will now have the unenviable task of taking on Kentucky on Thursday.
