That's the tough part for teams. Do you want to take the risk?

So--with that in mind--what's a guy like DGB to do? If he's smart he takes any and every meeting he can. There is no need to close the door on anyone since there is no telling exactly when he will go in the draft. There is also no telling who is going to be willing to take a chance on someone with a past.
That is unless they've done it before--like the Dallas Cowboys have.
Dallas knew all too well that Dez Bryant was a risk when they made him a first round pick, but took him anyway. While it hasn't been smooth sailing off the field all the time, on the field things have been going well.
Regardless of what is going on now the point is the Cowboys proved they were willing to take a chance on a player with a questionable past. So declining a chance to visit with them was not a good idea. Maybe they still would take him should he fall far enough in the draft, but since he showed little interest in the team it would not be shocking for the team to show little interest in him.
